Hockey: Brown stuns Union in OT, 3-2

Max Willman scored with 27.7 seconds left in overtime as Brown rallied for a 3-2 ECAC Hockey victory over Union on Friday at Messa Rink.

Willman came down the left wing and put a backhander on goalie Alex Sakellaropoulos, who made the save. But no one checked Willman, and he put the rebound home to help te Bears erase a 2-0 deficit.

Brown tied it with 1:38 left when Tommy Marchin stole a Connor Light pass behind the Union net He fed it to Nick Lappin, who put it home.

Power-play goals by Michael Pontarelli and Ryan Scarfo gave Union a 2-0 lead in the second. Brown’s Brandon Pfeil scored a power-play goal late in the period.
