Authorities have suspended the liquor license of an Albany bar where an inspection last week found that only 10 of 125 patrons inside at the time were 21 or older.
The Times Union of Albany reports the state Liquor Authority suspended the Smokin’ Bull’s liquor license on Tuesday, five days after officials found rampant underage drinking at the bar in the city’s college neighborhood.
Investigators from the SLA, state Department of Motor Vehicles and the Albany Police Department checked the identifications of people inside the bar and found that 115 were under 21.
Investigators confiscated 75 counterfeit licenses and arrested 74 people for having fraudulent IDs or presenting another person’s driver’s license. Police charged two bartenders with unlawful dealing with a minor.
