’Tis the season for parties.

For the latest on women’s fashions for the holiday season, we turned to Saratoga Springs businesswoman and fashionista Alessandra Bange-Hall.

“This holiday season my mantra is TEXTURE!” said Bange-Hall, president and owner of Piper Boutique on Broadway in downtown Saratoga. “Whether it’s lace, sequins, velvet or fur that you are looking for, so many of these wardrobe staples can be mixed together to curate the perfect holiday outfit for day or night.”

Instead of settling for a traditional look, Bange-Hall said, women may want to opt for a modern jumpsuit with a sequin blazer or a velvet tunic that will keep you cozy while bringing in the holiday spirit.

“It’s easy to incorporate mixed-media garments into your holiday wardrobe when you stay within your color palette,” Bange-Hall said. “Try mixing a silky top with a chunky sweater. Dress up a usually casual tunic with a sparkling statement necklace! Holiday is a great time to spice up your wardrobe and step out of your comfort zone with a little extra sparkle!”
