A man robbed a credit union on Albany Street on Thursday afternoon and fled with an undetermined amount of cash, according to police.
Schenectady police Lt. Mark McCracken said shortly after 4 p.m., the robber walked into the SEFCU at 920 Albany St. and presented a note to a teller demanding money. He was described by police as being white or Hispanic, about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build.
He left SEFCU with an unknown amount of cash, McCracken said, adding that no weapon was presented.
The SEFCU robbery was the second in a Schenectady County financial institution in two days.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Trustco Bank at 141 W. Campbell Road in Rotterdam was robbed. The suspect in that case remained at large a day later.
