Town police are investigating a Sunday night stabbing that sent an Albany Man to Albany Medical Center with wounds to his face and torso.
The victim is expected to survive, police said. Police believe the stabbing resulted from an ongoing dispute and that the suspect knew the victim. No arrest has been made.
The incident happened around 9 pm Sunday at 409 Consaul Road.
Police learned of the incident as the victim traveled by private vehicle to a hospital, but stopped for assistance at Mohawk Commons in Niskayuna. Mohawk Ambulance took the victim on to Albany Medical Center.
Police identified the victim as 27-year-old Daniel Guerriero of Albany.
Police did not release a suspect name, but gave out a description. His name is known to police.
He is described as a black male, age 34, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black pants and a black shirt, red Timberland boots and a Chicago Bulls baseball hat.
Police believe he used a steak knife to stab the man. Police have yet to recover the knife.
Albany, Schenectady and Niskayuna departments assisted.
