SARATOGA SPRINGS — Caffè Lena will hold an “Inn Take Over” event at Saratoga Springs’ historic Union Gables Inn from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday to benefit its Campaign for Caffè Lena, the effort to restore and preserve the legendary venue’s 47 Phila Street building.
Caffè Lena will take over all three floors of the Union Gables mansion at 55 Union Avenue, converting the rooms into 12 intimate clubs and 20 of folk, jazz, bluegrass and pop music.
Attendees are invited to wander the mansion listening to music.
In the lobby, there will be spirits, snacks and a silent auction.
The 20 artists, all of whom are donating their time for the fund-raiser, include Gathering Time, Hot Club of Saratoga, Greg Klyma, Ariana Gillis, Ramblin Jug Stompers, Dubl Handi, Kevin McKrell, The Trophy Husbands, Phil Henry Duo, The Whippersnappers, The Bluebillies, Mike Gowans, MaryLeigh Roohan, Robin O’Herin, Maria Zemantauski, Huxtable Christensen & Hood, Mark Tolstrup’s Brass & Blues, Bob Warren & Joy MacKenzie, Phil Drum & Friends and Fennig’s All-Star String Band.
Tickets are $75 general admission, $60 for members and under age 35.
