Defending champion Shenendehowa lost in overtime today in the state semifinals of the Class AA boys’ basketball tournament.
In an upset, the Plainsmen fell 55-51 to Section V’s Aquinas Institute at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
Shenendehowa is ranked No. 1 in the state poll and No. 23 in the USA Today’s national poll.
Kevin Huerter scored a game-high 30 points for Shenendehowa, including 18 between the fourth quarter and overtime.
Shenendehowa finishes 24-1.
