A Capital Region radio icon is coming back on the airwaves.
Bob “Wolf” Wohlfeld will join Jeff Levack on ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team (WTMM-FM) to talk sports starting April 1. “The Levack and Wolf Show” will air from 2 to 7 p.m. on the Townsquare Media-owned station.
Wohlfeld is best known for his 12-year run with “Wolf In The Morning” on classic rock station PYX-106 (WPYX-FM 106.5). He had the top-rated morning show in the Capital Region.
“I took some time off from radio, and I’m thrilled to be back on 104.5 The Team,” Wohlfeld said in a statement. “Townsquare is on the cutting-edge of delivering content over multiple platforms, and I am thrilled to be joining such a forward thinking company.”
Levack has been hosting the show, with help from Brady Farkas and producer Tom Goslowski since mid-January, when co-host and station brand manager Armen Williams left for a program director’s job in Denver.
“I’m excited,” Levack said. “I interned for Wolf as my first gig in radio. Way back then, I, of course, dreamed of doing a show together. Took a bit longer than I dreamed, but here we are.”
