Former president Bill Clinton will be at the Desmond Hotel in Colonie on Saturday morning, according to the Hillary Clinton campaign.
Bill Clinton will be holding a Get Out The Vote event at the hotel at 9:45 a.m., doors open at 8:45 a.m. U.S. Sen. Kirstin Gillibrand, D-NY, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo will join Clinton.
The event is open to the public with registration online.
The hotel is hosting a two-day Democratic Rural Conference today and tomorrow with top local Democrats including Gillibrand and U.S. Rep. Paul Tonko, D-Amsterdam.
Clinton, who served as president from 1993 to 2001, is expected to fly into Albany International Airport on Saturday morning before going to the Desmond.
Clinton’s stop in Albany to stump for his wife ahead of the state’s primary on Tuesday comes after Hillary Clinton’s visit at Cohoes High School last week.
Clinton, the former secretary of state and U.S. senator from New York, is seeking the Democratic nomination for president along with Bernie Sanders, the U.S. senator from Vermont.
After the event in Colonie, Bill Clinton will be in Watertown for another Get Out The Vote event, according to the campaign schedule. He will then have similar events in Syracuse and Binghamton.
