The man was found dead in a cemetery near Central Park probably died of a drug overdose, police said Thursday.
Police are awaiting results of toxicology tests, the police spokesman said.
The body of a man in his mid-30s was found in Parkview Cemetery near Central Park on Wednesday evening by a woman walking her dog shortly before 5 p.m. She noticed the man’s body and contacted police.
Police treated the case as an “unattended body” because there were no evident signs of foul play.
The man’s identity is known to police, but so far they have not released his name.
