
Police are continuing to investigate gunfire in front of a Crane Street store this afternoon that left man hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Schenectady police responded to reports of shots fired in front of Chubby’s on the 1000 block of Crane Street shortly before 3 p.m. and found blood in the street.
People who were in the area at the time were reportedly having an argument and ran away after the shots were fired, police radio transmissions indicated.
Police taped off the area and reviewed camera footage from the store.
Officers were dispatched around 5 p.m. to a house on the 800 block of Eastern Avenue for reports of a male with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim was treated on the scene by members of the Schenectady Fire Department and transported to Albany Medical Center.
His wounds are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
The Schenectady Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident. No arrests had been made as of early this evening.
