Schenectady police say a 13-year-old girl has been missing since last month and is seeking the public’s help in finding her.

Jeanetta Marie Lopez, known as “Nettie,” has been missing from Northeast Parent and Child Society since Aug. 3., police said on Thursday.

Police officers and youth aid detectives have checked several addresses throughout the city but have not found Lopez, according to police.

Police say she has a history of running away and has been located before in Schenectady, Lansingburgh and the Bronx.

Lopez is 13 years old with brown hair and hazel eyes, police said. She is about 5 feet tall and weighs 119 pounds.

Police Sgt. Matt Dearing said anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Schenectady County Unified Communications Center at 630-0911.

In addition to the Schenectady Police Department, State Probation and Missing and Exploited Children are assisting with the investigation.
