Fall Arts preview (dance): African ensemble among highlights

African dancers are among best bets for the fall dance scene.

• Nana Kwasi Anim, the dance and drumming master, brings 20 elite African dancers from the Wassa Pan Afrika Dance Ensemble, who will drum, play flutes, sing and dance in traditional and contemporary African styles. Sept. 22, Hudson Valley Community College’s Maureen Stapleton Theater, noon

• Savion Glover’s magic feet always hypnotize. This time he’s working with the James Carter Quartet in “New Soundz.” October 15, The Egg, 8 p.m.

• Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company presents an evening of dance and visual art derived from dream experiences in “Sleep Walks: The Body of Dreams.” Oct. 21-22, Chapel + Cultural Center, 2125 Burdett Ave., Troy; 8 p.m.
