St. Peter’s Health Partners celebrated its fifth anniversary by opening its latest project, St. Peter’s Medical Campus, in Clifton Park on Tuesday.
St. Peter’s Health Partners was founded on October 1, 2001, when Northeast Health, Seton Health and St. Peter’s Health Care Services merged. St. Peter’s Medical Campus, located at 1 Tallow Drive in Clifton Park, has over 38,000 square feet of space in two buildings situated side by side. St. Peter’s Health Partners invested $7.5 million in the new medical campus.
These new facilities will offer urgent care, family practice, medical imaging, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology. The urgent care center will be open seven days a week on a walk-in basis. St. Peter’s is also offering a “Skip the Wait” option so patients can select a time slot online ahead of time. New services include urology, podiatry, gastroenterology, liver disease care, diabetes care, endocrinology and cardiology.
“I just want to make it clear that my last name isn’t Pence or Kane,” joked James Reed, the president and CEO of St. Peter’s Health Partners, as he began the celebration on the same day as the first vice-presidential debate. Reed spoke of St. Peter’s mission to put people first and to bring high-quality affordable care close to home.
Reed said St. Peter’s is a place where you can expect the “highest quality care, the most sophisticated care and the most compassionate care.”
“There was a clear need here for expanded capacity in several specialties. This need, and other feedback from the Saratoga County community, directly informed our planning and development of the St. Peter’s Medical Campus,” said Pam Williams, the CEO of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates.
Pete Bardunias, the CEO and President of the Southern Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, said, “We are excited to see a new chapter opening in St. Peter’s long history of quality healthcare here in Tech Valley.”
As a 10-year survivor of heart disease, Bardunias knows first-hand the how important it is to have quality medical care close by. “We would be nothing without good quality health care,” he said.
Bardunias added, “Having this new medical campus in Clifton Park is proof once again that our community is at the forefront of providing the best options for residents and visitors to obtain needed healthcare services.”
Clifton Park Town Supervisor Phil Barrett addressed the many nurses and medical staff in the crowd, saying “Many thanks to the physicians, nurses and medical staff who bring St. Peter’s to life. Thank you for all you do every day.”
BBL Construction Services, based in Albany, managed the site’s construction and renovation.
