
GLOVERSVILLE — Police said a four-month drug investigation resulted in the arrest of a Fifth Avenue resident in connection with crack cocaine sales.
Shamar J. Sumpter, 33, was charged with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.
Gloversville police and the Glove Cities Emergency Response Team arrested Sumpter on Dec. 30, according to a prepared statement.
Sumpter was taken to Fulton County Correctional Facility until his arraignment in Fulton County Court at a later date.
