An early morning fire destroyed a Clifton Park home on Friday, displacing a husband and wife and claiming the family dog, according to Vischer Ferry Fire Department Chief Philip Brousseau.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze, which destroyed the home at 58 Ray Road.
Brousseau said over a half-dozen other departments responded to the fire, including crews from Rexford, Ballston Lake, Jonesville and Clifton Park. He added that tanker trucks were also part of the operation to put out the blaze.
“There’s no hydrants in that part of Clifton Park; it’s semi-rural,” said Brousseau.
