Trump voters lose most without ACA

The irony is that Trump's base will likely suffer the most

As the Republicans in U.S. Senate and House of Representatives begin the process of rolling back the Affordable Care Act (ACA), I have grave concerns.

I believe the Northeast states and Pacific coastal states will keep on caring for the health of moderate- and low-income residents for as long as financially possible. But the Midwest states (the Rust Belt) and the Southern states very likely may not, if history is any guide.

So my fears are for cancer and Type 2 diabetes patients and patients with other life-threatening conditions in those regions. If they lose the medical care they now have, lives are truly at stake. The irony is, of course, that residents of the regions of the United States that supported Trump will most likely suffer the most without adequate medical care and treatment.

Very sad indeed.
