SARATOGA SPRINGS — Some of the antique furniture and collectibles used for decades in the historic Adelphi Hotel in Saratoga Springs will be offered for auction Sunday.

The circa-1877 Adelphi is undergoing an extensive overhaul and update, and some of the historic furnishings are being reupholstered for reuse, so that the hotel will retain a Victorian ambiance when it reopens.

Thousands of other items are being stored in a Clifton Park warehouse for future sale; about 40 exclusive items will be sold at auction starting at noon Sunday at Ralph Fontaine’s Heritage Auctions, located at 13150 Route 22, Canaan.

A preview of the items to be auctioned off will happen from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday.

A portion of proceeds from the auction will benefit a local charity.
