A Ballston Spa woman pleading guilty to a felony charge Thursday for taking hydrocodone from the Rite Aid where she worked as a pharmacist.
Mary B. Murphy, 49, of Hop City Road, pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court to first-degree falsifying business records, District Attorney Karen Heggen said.
Sheriff’s deputies said Murphy, while employed at the Rite Aid in Corinth, filled out a doctor’s prescription form with a customer’s name, used the customer’s identity to get hydrocodone-acetaminophen for herself, then falsified records to conceal the Aug. 18 incident. Murphy was arrested on Oct. 3.
Additional felony charges of forgery and identity theft were dropped as part of the plea deal.
Murphy is due to be sentenced on May 17.
