SCHENECTADY — City police are investigating after finding a man’s body Tuesday in the alley between Villa Italia and the city parking garage on Broadway.

Police said they got a call about the body at 2:30 p.m., according to police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Dearing.

The man had not been identified publicly as of this afternoon, and detectives and evidence technicians were securing the area, according to a Daily Gazette reporter at the scene.

It is the second body to be found in recent days: The body of Shantae J. Ubrich, 40, of Schenectady, was found Friday in a ravine off Wyllie Street.

Police have said they don’t believe that death was suspicious.

The Daily Gazette will update this story as details become available.
