COLONIE — Police are asking the public’s assistance to identify a man they believe installed a camera in a Starbucks restroom on March 18.
The man, whose image was captured by store surveillance cameras, is believed to have placed a camera disguised as a USB wall charger in a unisex bathroom at the Starbucks store at 18 Wolf Road.
The camera was discovered by store employees 25 minutes after it was placed in the bathroom, and it captured images of three people who used the room, police said. Those three people have been interviewed, police said.
Police have not been able to identify the man in the surveillance images, so they are asking for the public’s help with that.
Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the man is urged to contact the Colonie Police Department at 783-2744.
