A 19-year-old Loudonville man was arrested Sunday in Guilderland after police say he fled from officers by car and on foot.

Grant Sacca, 19, of Hawthorne Court, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet on Western Avenue in Guilderland when officers tried to pull over his vehicle for violations, Guilderland police say.

He fled before abandoning his car in the Guilderland Animal Hospital parking lot, police say. A foot chase ensued and police apprehended him shortly after in a nearby neighborhood.

A 16-year-old teen also fled from the car but she was not charged.

Sacca was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, a felony; unlawful fleeing a police officer, endangering the welfare of a child and reckless driving, all misdemeanors; and numerous vehicle and traffic violations.

He was arraigned in Town Court and sent to Albany County jail on $10,000 bail.
