Updated 6:30 a.m. Wednesday — The person reported missing, Joseph Hedgeman, has been located, police said.
COLONIE — Police are asking for the public’s help to find a missing man last seen walking toward Schenectady Sunday evening.
Joseph J. Hedgeman Jr., 20, was reported missing Monday afternoon by his family and is despondent over recent personal issues. Police believe he may be a danger to himself.
Police say it is out of the ordinary for him not to have contact with friends or family for this long.
Hedgeman is described as a white, 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 150 pounds. He has blond hair, blue eyes and a hoop earring in his nose. He also has ear gauges and tattoos on his left forearm and hand. He was last seen wearing a purple shirt and purple jeans.
Anyone with information about Hedgeman or who has seen him is urged to contact Colonie police immediately at 518-783- 2744.
