SCHENECTADY — A city man climbed onto a CDTA bus’ bike rack last week, destroying it, authorities said.
Roalik Walls, 26, faces one count of third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and misdemeanor resisting arrest.
Walls is accused of climbing onto the bus’ bike rack and destroying it May 21 in the area of State and Division streets, according to papers filed in court. He also allegedly yanked and climbed on the bus’ windshield wipers, damaging them. The damage reported totaled more than $250, the threshold for felony criminal mischief.
Police caught up with Walls on Wednesday afternoon in the same area. He is accused of refusing to get into a police car, pushing against officers. Officers had to use physical force after he refused to get in, according to papers.
