I would like to publicly thank the Mariaville Volunteer Fire Department, Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Schenectady Sherif Affinito, EMT Paul Negus and all the people who stopped to help my dog and me recently when we were involved in a rollover car accident.
I would also like to thank the gentleman who quickly stopped and broke the side glass so I could get out of the vehicle. I don’t remember your name, but I am very grateful for your help. It was a nice sunny afternoon and all these people took the time to help.
In a rural community, volunteer emergency responders make a big difference, and I was impressed how quickly and professionally everyone responded. Be sure to donate to your local volunteer departments. Without them, things would be very different.
Thank you again for all of your service to me and our community.
