Man accused of intentionally hitting woman with car

He faces felony reckless endangerment, criminal mischief counts

SCHENECTADY — A man is facing charges after police said he intentionally struck a woman with his car Saturday evening during a domestic dispute.

Jose Rodriguez, 26, of Strong Street, faces one count of first-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree criminal mischief, both felonies.

Rodriguez is accused of striking the woman with his car just after 8 p.m. Friday in a Sixth Avenue driveway. The woman suffered a leg injury as a result, according to papers.

Rodriguez is also accused of slashing the tire of a car belonging to another woman, his ex-girlfriend, during the same incident, according to papers.

Police arrested Rodriguez just before 10 p.m. Friday after a short foot pursuit near King School, according to court documents.
