If you missed the GE Realty Plot Tour last month, or if you just want to hear more about the majestic homes in that neighborhood and the people who lived in them, you won’t have to wait until 2019.

While the official GE Realty Plot Tour was in June and is held every two years, there is another option. Although you probably won’t be invited into any homes, two walking tours of the area are scheduled for this summer with Chris Leonard, a neighborhood resident and the association’s historian, leading both events.

Leonard will talk about the history of the GE Realty Plot and the many individuals connected to the neighborhood, including Charles Steinmetz, Irving Langmuir, Ernst Alexanderson and Izetta Jewel Miller to name just a few.

The first walking tour will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m., and a second will follow on Saturday, Aug. 5, also at 10 a.m. The tour costs $20 and will last approximately 90 minutes. For more information, visit www.gerealtyplot.com or call 225-2924.
