Schenectady County brings back Family Movie Nights

SCHENECTADY COUNTY — Schenectady County will launch its annual summer Family Movie Nights on Friday at Music Haven in Central Park in Schenectady.

The weekly movie series runs usually on Fridays through the end of August. Family-friendly movies start at 7 p.m., with screenings outdoors when weather cooperates. The 2016 animated children’s movie “Sing” will be shown.

Other dates and locations are Friday, July 27, at Esposito Park in Rotterdam; Friday, Aug. 4, at Princetown Town Hall; Friday, Aug. 11, at Niskayuna Town Hall; Friday, Aug. 18, at Shafer Memorial Park in Duanesburg; Thursday, Aug. 24, at Vale Park in Schenectady; and Friday, Aug. 25, at Freedom Park in Scotia.

At each event, entertainment and activities are organized by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady, and free ice cream from Stewart’s is provided. The event also has corporate sponsors.
