Sheriff: Three from Schenectady face drug counts

SCHENECTADY — The Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office announced three recent drug arrests on Friday.

Lamar Prater, 31, of 705 Bedford Road, Schenectady, was arrested Thursday, after sheriff’s investigators searched his home with a warrant and found drugs, packaging materials and cash. Investigators raided the home after an investigation into heroin sales, according to the sheriff’s office. Prater faces four counts each of criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance. Prater was also on parole. He is being held without bail.

Lamont Gamble, 23, of 460 Hulett St., was arrested on Aug. 30 as part of an ongoing drug investigation. He faces two felony counts each of criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance. He was arraigned and ordered held.

Travis Telemaque, 33, of 6 Kimball St., Amsterdam, was arrested Aug. 31 after a Schenectady County drug investigation. He also faces two counts each of criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance and was ordered held.
