
SARATOGA SPRINGS — Several elected officials from both parties, including U.S. Rep. Paul Tonko, will attend a Sept. 18 forum on senior citizens’ issues at Empire State College, the Saratoga Springs Mayor’s Senior Advisory Committee announced.
The meeting will run from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the college building at 2 Union Ave. The forum is free.
Those expected to attend include Tonko, D-Amsterdam; state Sen. Kathy Marchione, R-Halfmoon; representatives of state Sen. James Tedisco, R-Glenville, and Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner, D-Round Lake; Saratoga County Supervisors Matthew Veitch and Peter Martin; Mayor Joanne Yepsen; city Public Safety Commissioner Chris Mathiesen; and Commissioner of Public Works Anthony Scirocco.
The officials will address questions raised by the advisory committee members and by the audience. Kathleen Fyfe, vice president of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, will moderate.
