HS roundup: Moore’s five goals lead Northville to win

Brytney Moore scored five goals in Northville’s 9-0 win Wednesday against Duanesburg in Western Athletic Conference girls’ soccer action. 

Hannah Coupas added two goals and three assists, while Kerrigan Groff had a goal and an assist.

Middleburgh outlasted Mekeel Christian Academy 1-0. Kelsey Terrel provided the game’s lone goal.

Fonda-Fultonville topped Mayfield 5-3. Both Fonda’s Alyssa Duval and Mayfield’s Lindsey Hampton scored three goals, while Fonda’s Emma Rhodes had a goal and three assists. 

Adrianna Cornell and Carrie Krohn each scored twice in Schoharie’s 7-0 win against Fort Plain. Krohn also had an assist.

Alexis Klock scored twice in OESJ’s 3-0 win against Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

In the Colonial Council, Cobleskill-Richmondville won 2-1 against Cohoes.

Emma Osterhoudt and Sabrina Pressley each scored in the win.

Voorheesville won 6-0 against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk.

Kaelyn Lawson had two goals and an assist.

Catholic Central won 7-0 against Watervliet.

Teagan Breton, Claudia Fountain and Emily Frodyma each scored two goals.

Hoosic Valley’s Sami Dickinson had a goal and two assists in a 3-1 Wasaren League win against Cambridge.

Hoosic Valley keeper Lauren Paul made 16 saves.

Lauren Lockrow scored twice in Tamarac’s 3-0 win against Waterford-Halfmoon.

Mechanicville and Hoosick Falls tied 1-1. Mackenzie Bowie scored for Mechanicville, while Darian Morgan had Hoosick Falls’ goal.


David Currie scored the only goal in Scotia-Glenville’s 1-0 Foothills Council win against Gloversville.

John Cremo assisted Currie’s score.

Schuylerville won 8-1 against Hudson Falls.

Nick Budesheim and Jared Gregorek each had two goals.

Greg Maccharulo had a goal and an assist in Queensbury’s 2-0 win against South Glens Falls.

Peter Crawford also scored.

Galway won 3-1 against Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons in the Western Athletic Conference.

Jake Restivo scored all three goals for Galway, two on assists from Rowan Smith.

Drew Snyder and Josh Wasson scored in Mayfield’s 2-0 win against Fonda-Fultonville.

Schoharie got past Fort Plain 5-2.

Matt Loubier scored twice for Schoharie, while Skyler Jankowski had a goal and an assist.

Jaxson Yacowenia scored Fort Plain’s goals.

Schalmont and Albany Academy played to a 1-1 tie in the Colonial Council.

Matt Horwedel scored for Schalmont, while Connor Smith had Albany Academy’s goal.

In action from Tuesday, Tamarac won 4-0 against Waterford-Halfmoon in Wasaren League play.

Chase Ali scored three goals.


Ava Schroeder, Sara O’Connor and Claire Skumurski each scored in a 3-1 Suburban Council win for Niskayuna against Bethlehem.

Claudia Barbera and Christina Callahan added assists in the win, while Abby Hepfer assisted Ashley Willies on Bethlehem’s score.

Shenendehowa topped Guilderland 1-0. Olivia Howard scored unassisted in the second half.

For Guilderland, Jazlyn Jimenez made 11 saves.

Rachel Hayes and Kelsey Wells each scored in Shaker’s 2-1 win against Columbia, while Marie Elban had a goal in defeat.

Shaker’s Kelly Fitzpatrick made nine saves and Columbia’s Mady Hogan had 10.

Saratoga Springs topped Burnt Hills 4-2.

Erin McCarthy scored two goals, and Lindsey Frank had a goal and an assist in the win.


In the Suburban Council, Shenendehowa won in straight sets against Guilderland 25-17, 25-14, 25-22.

Brendan Spulnick had 13 kills in the win, Dylan Urbanski had 20 assists and Jack Normandin added six aces. JB Barringer collected seven digs.

Saratoga Springs topped Colonie 25-19, 25-10, 25-15.

Matt Myers had seven kills and three aces for the Blue Streaks, while Quinn Montgomery had seven aces.

Colonie’s Brian Womeldorph had four kills and seven digs.

Bethlehem scored a 25-14, 25-10, 25-13 win against Columbia.

For Bethlehem, Michael Ortale had eight kills and five aces, while Arlo Marynczak had five kills and Peter Pissarenko had four aces. Matt Nettleton added nine assists.

Danny Watson had six kills and three aces in defeat.


Cassy Bown had 14 aces in Broadalbin-Perth’s 25-9, 25-11, 25-13 win against Schuylerville.

Also in the Foothills Council win, Olivia Casey had five kills and five aces, while Lily Mitchell added 14 assists.

Liz Fordyce led Schuylerville with five digs.

South Glens Falls won 25-12, 25-22, 25-15 against Gloversville.

Mackenzie Collier had seven kills and seven digs for South Glens Falls, while Taylor Wells had 22 assists.

For Gloversville, Macey Salvione had 10 digs and Jasmine Gonzalez had five kills.

Hudson Falls defeated Johnstown 25-23, 25-13, 25-17.

In the win, Danielle Kitchner had seven kills and Kierra McCarthy had 14 digs.

Johnstown’s Macenzie Ward had 11 assists and 10 digs, while Janay Douglas had four kills and eight digs.

In the Wasaren League, Stillwater outlasted Mechanicville 24-26, 25-17, 13-25, 25-4, 25-18.

Chloe Farr had nine aces, Emily Prince had seven kills and Skylar Brenna had nine assist in victory.

Mechanicville’s Adriana Patenaude had 16 digs, while Lyndsay Robens had seven kills.
