Teens accused of breaking into Schenectady school

SCHENECTADY — Two city teens recently broke into the Northeast Parent & Child Society school on Hamburg Street, authorities said.

Timothy J. Griffis, 16, and Jennifer Whorf, 16, both with the address of the Northeast Parent & Child location on Park Avenue, off Consaul Road, face one count each of third-degree burglary.

Griffis also faces petty larceny and endangering the welfare of a child counts, both misdemeanors. The two were arrested Tuesday.

The two are accused of breaking in through and unlocked window Sept. 22. Griffis allegedly took $3. Griffis is also accused of illegally entering Sept. 24 while accompanied by two 13-year-olds, according to court documents.
