GLEN — State police have identified the person killed in a one-vehicle crash Thursday on the state Thruway as an Alabama man.
Aimon C. Wilks Jr., 70, of Henagar, was westbound in the town of Glen about 11:43 a.m. when his car went off the road for what police said was no apparent reason. The vehicle went down an embankment and hit a tree, bursting into flames. Wilks was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other injuries and no other vehicles involved. State police said their investigation is continuing.
