The Niskayuna Central School District will hold a special election starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday. Voters will choose one of three candidates to fill a board position vacated in July.
Niskayuna residents Brian Backus, Christina Calabrese and Noney Grier are running to fill a seat left open when Patricia Lanotte resigned over the summer. The winner will serve out the remainder of Lanotte’s term, which ends June 30, 2019.
Voting will take place at Niskayuna High School, 1626 Balltown Road, in the Orchestra Room. Voters are asked to use the Balltown Road entrance to access the campus, then follow signs for parking and voting.
The polls will be open until 9 p.m. Votes will be tallied and the winner announced when the polls close.
