Albany and Glens Falls each set record-high temperatures Tuesday, with Albany hitting 75 degrees in the early afternoon and Glens Falls hitting 74, the National Weather Service reported.

With a week still to go in October, meteorologist Tom Wasula said the month has averaged 7.3 degrees higher than normal, which puts it on track to be the warmest October ever recorded in Albany.

The average so far has been 58.4 degrees, nearly a degree higher than the current record, set in 1900.
