SCHENECTADY — Nott Street between Foster Avenue and Maxon Road will be closed to westbound traffic between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday for a paving project, the city Department of Utilities announced.

Seward Place will also be closed to northbound traffic for one or two hours during that period.

“During this time we will be paving Nott Street between Devine Street and Maxon Road and need to re-route traffic for several hours while it is completed,” city Signal Superintendent John P. Coluccio said.

Westbound traffic will be detoured to Foster Avenue and Seneca Street or Lenox Road. Eastbound traffic will continue, controlled by flaggers.

The work will be moved to Thursday if weather prevents paving Wednesday.
