
NISKAYUNA — An older town resident encountered burglars inside his home early Thursday and suffered minor injuries as a result, police said.
Police received the call just after 4:30 a.m. to a home on Ruffner Road. The man reported awakening to at least two people inside his home. The man then suffered minor injuries in some kind of interaction with the suspects, police said.
The suspects made off with multiple items from the residence, including cash and electronics, police said. The resident did not require medical attention.
Police are asking that anyone in the area of Rosendale Estates during the overnight hours who may have observed suspicious vehicles, people or other activities contact police.
No other burglaries were reported in the area.
