Local powerhouse singer Moriah Formica will be hitting the stage, and television screens, once again this week as she heads into her knockout round on NBC’s singing competition “The Voice.”

Formica, 17, will be featured on the show Monday and Tuesday for her knockout round. Formica previously wowed judges during her blind audition with her rendition of Heart’s “Crazy on You,” getting all four judges to turn their chairs around for her. Formica ultimately decided to join the team of pop superstar Miley Cyrus.

She then sailed through her battle round against competitor Shilo Gold as the two paired off to sing “American Woman.”

During the knockout round, Formica will once again be competing against another team member. This time though, Formica and her team member will be singing separate songs, and the judges will select one person to pass through to the next round, and one person to leave the show.

Formica will be back in the Capital Region later this month, and will be performing in a special and intimate concert at Jupiter Hall in Albany on Nov. 24.
