SCHENECTADY — City police were searching Tuesday for the person who robbed a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant downtown, police said.
Police responded to the KFC at 109 State St. just before 9 a.m. for a report from employees working there before the restaurant’s opening. The employees said the robber displayed a weapon during the incident. It wasn’t immediately known what was taken, city police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Dearing said.
Police, including officers using a helicopter, responded to search for the suspect. A description of the robber was not available.
