A woman has admitted to stealing three kissing ball holiday decorations, state police said Wednesday.

The kissing balls were stolen Monday from a small local business on state Route 196 in Kingsbury, state police said. With security video of the theft and the aid of social media, state police identified Rebecca Young, 52, of Little Burch Hill Road in Hebron, as the suspect.

Troopers, upon pulling into Young’s driveway, saw two of the three kissing balls “proudly displayed on the front porch of the residence,” state police said. Young admitted to the theft, state police said.

Young has been charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and is scheduled to appear Wednesday in Kingsbury Town Court.
