A Troy man has been arrested for allegedly running a fraudulent contracting business in Albany, Saratoga and Rensselaer counties, according to state police.

Christopher Quinn, 40, allegedly represented himself as a contractor, doing business under the company name Veritas Structural Concrete, but failed to complete projects and caused property damage, troopers said.

Police said Quinn received payment for minimal work “with no application of any accepted building principles” but never returned to finish work. He also allegedly received equipment and material from local businesses but did not pay for those materials.

Quinn faces charges of scheme to defraud and grand larceny, both felonies, as well as misdemeanor criminal mischief. He has been arraigned in local courts in Albany, Saratoga and Rensselaer counties, according to state police.

State police said the charges came after a “lengthy” investigation that included assistance from police across various counties and towns.
