JOHNSTOWN — A Gloversville man drew a six-year prison term Wednesday for selling drugs, Fulton County prosecutors said.

Shamar Sumpter, 34, was convicted in October of third-degree criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance, both felonies.

He was arrested in January by Gloversville police after a four-month investigation into crack cocaine sales.

Judge Louise Sira sentenced Sumpter. His criminal history meant he could have received up to 12 years in prison.

He was prosecuted by Amanda Nellis and was represented by attorney Andrew Deluca.
