The person who called in the robbery said a white man passed a note to a teller demanding money, according to a statement from Saratoga Springs police. The man then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The robber did not display a weapon, police said.

“Our employees weren’t hurt, thank God,” said Charles Wait, Adirondack Trust owner. “They did what they were supposed to do: Give the money and don’t confront.”

The suspect was wearing a jacket with a company logo of Schenectady-based Petraccione Plumbing and Heating on the back of it. He is described as being over 6 feet tall.

Wednesday was the second time an Adirondack Trust branch was robbed in Saratoga Springs over the past year.

Saratoga Springs police is asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information on the robbery to call 518-584-1800 or, to remain anonymous, call 518-584-TIPS.
