SARATOGA SPRINGS — Anthony Paradise, 39, of Ballston Spa, has been charged in the Wednesday robbery of an Adirondack Trust Co. branch.
Paradise was arrested at 9 p.m. Wednesday, following the bank robbery on Broadway. Money was recovered from Paradise at the time of arrest, and more money was recovered by police at the residence he had been using in Ballston Spa.
He is charged with third-degree robbery and third-degree grand larceny, both felonies.
An Adirondack Trust employee who reported the robbery said Paradise passed a note to a teller demanding money at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, according to a statement from Saratoga Springs police.
Paradise allegedly left the bank with more than $3,000 in stolen cash, police said.
Paradise is believed to have acted alone, though the case is still under investigation, police said.
Paradise was arraigned Thursday morning in City Court.
New York State Police assisted with the investigation.
