It's coming back bigger and better

Your Amsterdam Free Library at 28 Church St. is an amazing community place. The 1903 historic building is high tech inside. Wi-fi, computers, copier, scanner, fax, and job search center are ready for your use. e-books, e-audio books and e-magazines can be put on your device.  The library gives you access to a lifetime of books, movies, audio books, music and games.

The rocking chairs and other clean comfy chairs allow you to browse magazines, newspapers and books. Smiling and energetic teachers educate preschool and school-age kids.

STEAM programs and the basement Makerspace are featured. Teen programs such as the SRC Environmental Study Team are a place where you want your kids.

The artist showcase changes each month and allows you to meet local artist at the monthly reception. Everyone is invited to join the Sunday Book Club.

The Travelogue and Culture Program has speakers tell of their adventures. Genealogy research help with ancestry.com is fun. Classic movies are shown; poetry programs are organized; new programs are always being added.

Many happy volunteers help the library’s Friends, Reads, board and other programs. If you have new ideas and time and talent please share with library director, Nicole.

Your Amsterdam Free Library is seeking donations to balance our operating budget and help restore the building after the tragic fire.

Thank you for considering the Amsterdam Free Library’s Annual Appeal.
