High school roundup: Grabers spark Schalmont victory

Madison Graber scored 21 points, and Peyton Graber added 15 to lead the Schalmont girls to a 52-41 victory over Mohonasen in the Kirvin Cup Winter Basketball Tournament Wednesday night.

Bre Lott scored 19 points and Sam Purzycki scored 15 for Mohonasen. Mohonasen will play Schenectady in the final today.

With a 32-point first half, Gloversville beat Haldane 61-44 in the Amsterdam Holiday College Showcase at Amsterdam High School. Gloversville’s Harmony Philo scored 16 points with five 3-pointers, and Gabrielle Langley knocked down 12. Olivia McDermott scored 11 points for Haldane.

Amsterdam beat Pittsfield 68-59. Giulana Pritchard score 18 points in the win.

In the Glens Falls Tournament at Glens Falls High School, Saratoga Springs beat Glens Falls 71-38. Dolly Cairns scored 20 points for the Blue Streaks.

In the Colonie Tournament, Colonie beat Catholic High 61-56. Erin Fouracre scored 19 points for Colonie, and Ahnisya Frodyma scored 21 points for Catholic Central.

Kelsey Wood scored 19 points to lead Averill Park to a 62-30 victory over Shaker. Shaker’s Shyla Sanford scored 11 points. Averill Park will take on Colonie in the finals of the Colonie Tournament today.

In the Mayfield Tournament, Broadalbin-Perth beat Mayfield 47-36. Broadalbin was led by Makenzie Smith’s 15 points, and Mayfield got 11 points from Sydney Sheldon.

Duanesburg won 50-43 over Greenville in the first round of the Berne Holiday Tournament. The Eagles were led by Emily Lenehan with 15, and Madison Stealey chipped in 10. Logan Smith contributed 16 rebounds for Duanesburg, which will play Berne in the championship game today. Ava Fitzmaurice scored 16 for Greenville.

Berne-Knox Westerlo beat Cairo-Durham 42-31. Taylor Meacham scored 18 points for BKW and Arianna Meyers scored 12 for Cairo.

Molly Brophy scored 38 points to lead Greenwich to an 80-33 win over Granville in a non-league matchup. Greenwich also got 14 points from Gabbie Wiss.

Lake George beat Hoosick Falls 59-56. Jonathan Kempf, of Hoosick Falls, scored 29 points, with seven 3-pointers to lead all scorers and Chris Becker hit 23 points for Lake George.

In the Alumni Christmas Tournament, Amsterdam beat Bethlehem 62 61. Amsterdam’s Deanthony Colon scored 19 points and Bethlehem’s Erik Salo and Patrick Ryan each scored 13.

CBA beat LaSalle 53-37. Joe DeLollo scored 14 for LaSalle and Jordan King scored 22 for CBA. CBA moves on to face Amsterdam today in the finals.

In the Saratoga Catholic Tournament, Saratoga Catholic beat Bishop Maginn 75-62 behind Tyler Haraden’s 31 points. Bishop Maginn got 22 points from Dominque Threatt.

Cambridge beat Corinth 53-50. Brenden Holcomb scored 20 points for Cambridge and Dawson DeLisle scored 18 for Corinth.

In the Shawn Walsh Tournament, Queensbury beat Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 73-60. Cameron Bleibtrey scored 30 points for Queensbury, and Jack Wyatt scored 23 for Burnt Hills.

Ravena beat Coxsackie Athens 48-45 in the Ravena Tournament. Tyler Oravsky scored 12 points for Coxsackie and Nate Boomhower scored 14 for Ravena.
