Police: Man sexually abused elderly person

CLIFTON PARK — An in-home caretaker is facing charges that accuse him of sexually abusing an 81-year-old person, state police said Thursday.

Jong E. Rim, 56, faces one count of second-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a vulnerable elderly person, both misdemeanors.

State police described Rim as a resident companion for private hire. He is accused of engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with the resident.

Rim was arraigned and released to return to court at a later date.
