A Level 3 sex offender failed to update his address and failed to register a Facebook account, authorities said.
Oscar Turpin, Jr., 52, formerly of Halsey Drive, faces two counts of felony failing to register.
Turpin is accused of failing to register an account from at least Nov. 30 until his arrest this past week, and then failing to register his address change from Halsey Drive during that same time period, according to court documents.
Turpin is on the registry in connection with a 2003 forcible touching conviction involving a 16-year-old in the town of Bethlehem, according to the registry.
His address is now listed in the registry as the Schenectady County Jail.
