SCHENECTADY — A man has been arrested on charges that accuse him of choking a woman to the point of unconsciousness last weekend, authorities said.
Lewis Hilts, 56, address unavailable, was charged with one count of second-degree strangulation, a felony, along with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.
He is accused of choking the woman Sunday afternoon at a McClyman Street address. She was treated at the scene and taken to Ellis Hospital, according to court documents.
The man also allegedly hit her, according to court documents.
