High school roundup: Mekeel girls' basketball defeats Mayfield

Elizabeth Singleton scored 20 points in Mekeel Christian Academy’s 43-37 Western Athletic Conference girls’ basketball win over Mayfield Monday.

The Lions trailed 10-1 after the first quarter but outscored the Panthers 42-27 rest of the way. Sydney Sheldon led Mayfield with 19 points.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo topped OESJ 56-23. Taylor Meachum scored 14 points for the Bulldogs, while Alexis Wright added 13.

Johnstown won a Foothills Council matchup with Broadalbin-Perth 41-30. Anna Lee led the Lady Bills with 14 points. Makenzie Smith scored 16 for the Patriots.

Gloversville beat Schuylerville 81-44. Harmony Philo scored 20 points for the Dragons. Cassie Patrick led Schuylerville with 14.

Hope Sullivan recorded 26 points in Queensbury’s 61-50 win over South Glens Falls. Hannah Breen and Mackenzie Collier each tallied 16 points for the Bulldogs.

Germantown scored a Central Hudson Valley League victory over Doane Stuart 50-12. Kaycee Hayes scored 10 points in the win.

Madison Meyer’s 26 points lifted Duanesburg past Davenport 47-30 in non-league play. Emily Lenehan chipped in 10 points for the Eagles.

Greenwich defeated Rensselaer 68-58. Molly Brophy scored 20 points for the Witches, while Gabbie Wiss added 19.

North Warren beat Saratoga Central Catholic 53-47 behind 21 points from Sydney Gagnon. Ani Crocker and Lauren Maher both had 18 for the Saints.
